What was supposed to be a movie night turned into ER-worthy; I have to say, it was interesting.
I went to Shara's place to get some tv series and movies. She was supposed to go to mine, but I was the one who needed stuff so I went there instead. That was 6PM. Because copying GBs worth of files took at least an hour, we ended up talking.
The Multiply topic was brought up. What was the Multiply topic, you ask. Well, at the height of the Goodbye, Multiply issue, people, including us, went to reminisce on our old, specifically high school, life. I caught her reading some of my old blog posts and we said we'd let it all out one time. Earlier, we did.
I lied when I told her I had nothing to ask because I had a lot. I asked some of them though and it felt great finally knowing the answers. I still think that some were better left unsaid so I did not trudge on it anymore.
We also talked about the it topic. Wow. That was awkwardly not awkward. I wish I could keep up with her though. All I know were theoretical.
At 8:20, I was ready to go home. Their small dog had a different idea though. He was let loose and bit me. It was not a big bite, nor was it deep. It didn't hurt. I was fine, but, just to be sure, they brought me to the doctor to have my shots.
We got to the emergency room, and we waited for the shots. The others, we bought. I feel so bad because one of the shots was proportional to the weight (catch my drift). It was my first time at the ER, but I was not scared. I still don't like wounds though (probably the reason my dreams of becoming a doctor died as I grew older; I realized some wounds were just too deep to handle (Ano daw?)).
The nurses were great though. At first, I disliked how calm they all were. It was not the good calm. It was more of a nonchalance kind of warm, and that's not really very soothing. But, when kuya Jows and kuya Jimbrag (nicknames) were taking care of me, I felt light. We were laughing and joking around. That was nice. :)
I had ten injections in total. Though some of the needles were big, the pain was tolerable. I just felt numb for a while, but it was all good. Except for the skin tests. Those were the worst! I had three of them. I look like someone played on me though (with the notes on my arms). I also felt like a pin cushion. Come on. Ten shots.
When I got there, the first thing on my mind was the graduating curse (the one were graduating college students are more prone to accidents than other undergrads). One good thing from that was that I finally know that I'm graduating. Haha!
So, that's how my ER-virginity was popped.
The aura at the ER was disturbing. There was this drunk guy embarrassing himself. Edi ikaw na may trenta mil sa Altis mo. I also saw Blue boys and policemen. Plus, the babies. :( I felt bad for the crying babies.
She was great though. She stayed with me all the time even though I didn't need it, and she was ready to let me hold her hand in case I needed support. I almost did when I had the Skins tests. Freakin' skin tests.
There was a fleeting moment were we were stopped in our tracks and suddenly looked at each other. The nurse asked, "Magkaano-ano kayo?". Good thing I got a hold of myself. It felt nice talking without that tug somewhere. :) "Magkaibigan" it is.
So yeah. I should probably sleep now. I need to wake up in less than two hours and travel to LB and trek to San Pablo. Wish me luck!
