I noticed the switch from Arthur thinking "the mark" to just "Eames." Great bit of perspective change there. And I liked the manipulation that Arthur revealed after sleeping with Eames; I was thinking the whole time that Arthur was being a bit of an idiot by giving in and forgiving so easily, and then I realized that he was doing it to get the truth. I'm a romantic, so I think something in Arthur's last conversation with Eames helped lead to the escape...Eames owes Arthur regardless though, for dumping him like that.
I'm glad you noticed the switch from "mark" to "Eames"--bit of a trip up for Arthur after Eames baited him. Goes to show how deep under Arthur's skin Eames still is.
Yes, Arthur definitely helped Eames with the information he provided about who he was working for and where the best point to escape would be. Eames is definitely sharp enough to put two and two together, which Arthur knew full well.
Thank you for your lovely and thoughtful comment! I'm glad you enjoyed te story :)h
I love the sci-fi setting and their relationship here. Also a glimpse of their past makes me want to see more of it. I really wish there's a sequel to this, hopefully many sequels? XD
