1. The coda to Amuse-Bouche that I meant to be a short, sweet little thing has become a full-grown story with a plot and everything, already clocking in at 6,000 words and counting. Sometimes I really just can't help myself.
It starts immediately after the dinner scene at the end of Amuse-Bouche and will cover the first few months of Arthur & Eames dating. At least, that's the plan so far. I did manage to get to Arthur topping for the first time \o/ though there was another sex scene that I don't think I'll be able to fit in and will probably have to exist as a separate outtake/stand alone scene. Sigh.
I'm also planning a third self-indulgent short that describes the night before Arthur & Eames' tricked out celebrity wedding up to the morning after. This will probably not be as schmoopy as it sounds, but hopefully more... funny.
2. Two recs that deal with heavier themes and ideas from Inception Bang. Both really good, but be prepared for some disturbing themes and heavy emotion.
That's Not Why I'm Lonely - A fascinating and disturbing story that explores the effect of solitude and torture when combined with the added element of dreamshare and never being sure if you're awake or not. Really thought-provoking and well-written.
And in the Morning Head for Home - a moving Arthur/Eames story that explores an idea I've been interested in for a while now--that is, using Limbo to extend the last minutes of a dying man's life. I decided against taking on that story idea in Inception mostly because I've already explored the notions of romances never had and lives never lived in both Harry Potter (Parallax) and Supernatural (Welcome to Oz). I'm glad someone wrote this story though, and did it so beautifully. Needless to say, this is a story that will require a box of tissues close at hand, but I do recommend it.
3. Note to self: do some stuff for Insearchtion. Sort Sex Bucket List story. Review some Gangstermoll.
