I want grandkids before I die and I want them to grow up in a house without wheels.

1. It's the Merry Month of Masturbation! MMOM

mmom mmom mmom

2. There's an Inception Friending Meme over here if anyone is interested in getting new friends.

3. It is very rare for me to stumble across straight porn (as in, heterosexual porn involving a man and a woman) that I like. This is a link to my new favorite video porn, which features a woman who is moaning, having multiple orgasms, and just having an awesome time having sex that she's an active participant in (as opposed to passively waiting for a guy to jackhammer into her and fake moaning the whole time). Good stuff.

4. Have some writing meta on the Rubber Ducky Problem. The first post is a bit of a ramble, but illustrates the point.
Excerpt: The "Rubber Ducky" is Paddy Chayevsky's term for when the hero or villain, at a lull in the action, explains that he is the way he is because his mother took away his rubber ducky when he was three. It's always a nice scene, well acted, beautifully lit, with a powerfully written monolog that the writer spent days on. And totally unnecessary in most stories and overused… It usually comes from not trusting the reader’s or viewer’s intelligence to "get it."

And here is a second post that also discusses the Rubber Ducky. The post itself is not that interesting, but the comments are worth reading.

The Rubber Ducky problem is actually something I wrestle with a bit myself, especially since I tend to develop very indepth backstories for most of my characters. Sometimes I actually need to write out the Rubber Ducky scene so that I know what happens, but I cut it out of the final draft because it's not necessary to further the actual story and serves no purpose in it. I've cut literally tens of thousands of words from drafts this way, and although it can be difficult, I find it ultimately makes the story tighter and better.

awesome links, meta, writing, awesome video
