You can't sell muffins to the muffin man.
I have been on a writing bonanza or something. I sent 2 chapters of Oz to my beta for review, and then an addition 2 chapters of attempted sexytimes which will not be posted for a long while as it is further along in my twisty timeline for the story. Madness! Also, apparently I am trying to work my beta to death. Oops.
On the other hand, I can't say these have been the easiest chapters to write. Well, the sexytimes flowed surprisingly nicely, but I really struggled with the other 2 chapters. One was rather plotty, which I always have difficulty with. The other was a character beat that I felt was important to write but hard for me to fully relate to as a personal matter (the character was acting in a way that I would never ever in a million years act or feel). Since I couldn't go to a full on acting place with the character, that made writing it... challenging. I wonder if it shows in the writing of it. Hopefully not, but hey--that's what the beta's for, right?
Here's hoping the next few chapters go down smoother.
