(no subject)
So....I haven't updated in a million years. A lot has gone on.....a fuckload of applications (2 left, St. John's and Smith!), my grandmother's house is infested with rats....lots and lots of cleaning up there. I am still cleaning. I'll probably spend a good portion of February break cleaning out her basement. It's a disaster. There is so much shit down there and from what I have heard, a couple rats have died in the walls and things reak down there (I haven't been down there for a couple of days to smell it).
Anyways, right now I am a little ticked off because Michael wasn't supposed to be home, and my mom is out and Aaron was going to come over. But noooo....just as Aaron was going to leave, Michael decided to come home. (was supposed to be back around 11). Arg. I even cleaned up the fireplace so we could light a fire and sit in front of it....its something we have wanted to do for ages. Stupid brother.
Last night we (Aaron and I) went to see Colin Meloy....so good. That was one of my favorite concerts, the guy is super-smart and hilarious, and is amazing in person. He sounds just like he does on his CDs....which is a nice feeling. He even called himself a corporate sell-out. He also named his fake skull (he kept it on a table onstage (with a bright red table-cloth, ship, and a bottle of wine)) Cheryl, and we (being the audience) named the ship Maya Angelou. There was a shitload of pot smoking in the audience. The audience included Dave Eggers, a good number of 826 Valencia workers, McSweeneys's staff, and Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler). We had a great time. Excellent time, really.
I just cooked myself some dinner and I am watching random TIVO'd shit. Lovely, lovely, lovely. I am thinking that I should have gone for chinese with Karl (friend from debate camp). Oh well....will hang out with him later.
