A good time was had by all at the NY state fair yesterday. We were there all day and I don't think we saw everything still. The girls are upstairs sleeping at the moment. They came home with me to spend the night. ::smiles uncontrollably:: Bailey is also in heaven having them here. I think she spent most of the night going between my room and the room they were in, just to make sure all the people she was in charge of were where they were supposed to be. It was great. It was also great that people kept referring to me as mom yesterday. That and calling us a big family. I'm sure Paul and the kids didn't think twice about it, but I can tell you it made me feel wonderful. It also made me feel wonderful when the kids were asking me to move in last night before we left their house to come to mine. ::grins from ear to ear:: Yes Paul was right there hearing the whole thing. I hope he was listening. It was nice driving home with the girls last night, but even then a part of me was sad because I missed Hugh and his dad. I love the whole lot of them and I'm a big sappy mess. Isn't life great sometimes??? Oh and the National Guard was at the fair and they had some race car they sponsor there too. You could get a free picture taken in front of it. So we all stood there after a little prodding from Paul and got one taken. They gave away key chains with a card they scanned on it. You have to go online to get the picture and use the code on the card. I'm a little disappointed that it's not available yet. I also took some pics of the kids feeding carrots to a giraffe. I love giraffes. They are just so cute! The camera is currently in the car with my purse though. I'll post anything usable later when I get a chance. Jeez, Bailey is still running between their bedroom upstairs and down here in the living room where I am. The crazy fat little thing is not happy unless all her people are together in the same place. She's nosier than I am!
Oh and my back is still bothering me, but it does feel a little better. I just took some more motrin. It's not bad at all as long as I don't try to turn my head in any direction. Paul was rubbing my upper back and neck last night while I was waiting for the girls to pack their stuff. He was cute. He said, I hope I'm not turning your screws. I always joke about the plate in my neck that's been there since my disk removal surgery by saying I hope I don't have a screw loose. The scary thing is that it does happen every now and then to folks who have permanent screw in their bodies. I'm sure the odds are minuscule, but still it's creepy. Well I best go get my 2nd cup of joe before the girls rise and are ready to get going. I'm not sure what we're doing today since it's supposed to rain most of the day. I'm all up for napping while watching some movies on the couch! Here's to hoping that happens. And yeah, still three days left of my 4 day weekend!!! YIPPIE!!!
