Yesterday was awesome! Ness and I went to Cincinnati for the day and hit the Newport Aquarium and then went to the Hofbrauhaus for dinner. HOORAY FOR AUTHENTIC GERMAN FOOD! It was amazing! I'll post more later.
It was A LOT like the one in Munich except there was a host who seated us instead of a frantic free for all for a spot at a table. ^__^ We even got Cola Weizen. We got spatzle and pretzels. They weren't quite AS tasty as the ones in Germany but they were an excellent substitute. The beer was just as good though.
I would like to hear more about German food. I haven't liked any of what I have tried, but I haven't actually been to Germany (last remaining home country of my ancestors that I need to get to!), and I admittedly don't eat many Americanized versions of food I do like when I'm in the actual country they originated from.
You really have to find the right foods. We managed to find plenty to eat without eating Wursts all the time (sausages). Kristin and Andee took us to a fair in Munich when we got there and bought white chocolate covered grapes. They were AMAZING. The only problem I have with German food is it can be very heavy so a little bit goes a long way.
