[a confused and very alone Terezi has been wandering the island herself. Terezi Pyrope has never been one to panic. that simply isn't her style; it's not becoming of a legislacerator to fall to pieces even when things are at their worse, and, quite honestly, things had already been pretty fucking bad the moment before she opened her eyes here.
Terezi is tired of games with deadly consequences, but she's not one to head into something blind- and normally, yes, the thought of that metaphor would make her smile, but nothing seems humorous right now. everything's just too surreal. she walks through the forest, carefully weaving her way through trees at the edge, and keeps pausing to listen and sniff the air. so far, she's encountered no one.]
[Wandering through the forest himself, he notices another figure and hides behind a tree as well as he could. He looks over the side and notices the familiar troll looking rather lost. He hurries over.]
...Sollux? [Terezi turns her head in the direction of his voice. she looks visibly alarmed, but calms down quickly once she catches a whiff of appleberry blast.] Shit, I didn't think I was going to see anyone else at all, a-and... [unusually, Terezi's voice trembles for once, betraying how scared she'd actually been.]
[she places a hand on top of that hand, giving a small smile.] Yeah. [and... she's sure it will, that it could be okay. if Sollux is here, maybe not everyone else in the game is a stranger; maybe they'll have strength in numbers, and a chance to escape. she lets the moment linger on for a bit before speaking cautiously.]
No, not yet. I did just come from a store though. It's empty when it comes to eatables but it has clothes. Some of the clothes are really old and kind of torn but they would be good to use as bandages.
[And to show her what he means, he waves his hand over to the right and stares intensly at a branch. After a few seconds of absolutely nothing happening, he takes his hand back and sighs.]
Nothing's happening when I try, I don't hear the voices anymore, and my shades are normal old red and blue shades, I'm just wearing them more so for nostalgia.
Someone who thinks it's hilarious to watch people die.
[He sighs a little. He looks around for a minute and notices his backpack from the corner of his eye which makes him remember something.]
Oh, right. These came with me and I want you to have one. I'd give one to KK or AA but I don't even know if they're here. You're here now and I trust you and I don't want to waste any time seeing if any of the others are here.
[He slips his backpack off and opens it to fish out one of the two walkie-talkies that he started out with. Then he takes her hand and places it in her palm, wrapping her fingers around it.]
It's a small device that is like a telephone, we can talk to each other using these if we're too far away to hear each other.
[she grips it and brings it up to her face to sniff it. plastic and metal. the image of it imprints in her mind, and she looks up towards Sollux, surprised.] Are you sure? I mean...
[no. he's right. it's the smartest thing to do, to plan early. she nods.]
Thanks. This'll help a lot in an emergency. I think you lucked out. [remembering her own weapon, she gropes around in her bag until she pulls it out- it looks like a gun, but it's made of plastic on inspection. Terezi doesn't know what a paintball gun is, but she knows it's not an actual gun and that it came with a lot of colorful paint-filled balls.] This is some kind of... artsupplykind specibus. Or something. I don't know. It was in my bag.
[she listens to the splat and sniffs the burst of color that comes with it, frowning.] That actually sounds like a lot of fun, but I guess it can't kill anyone...
Yeah but you could definitely blind someone with this. That would give you a huge advantage because no one else knows how to function when blind and you could easily go over to them and kill or hurt them while they're trying to see.

[He takes it from her and shoots one pant-ball at a tree. Then he hands it back.]
It shoots balls of paint instead of bullets or beams.
