You caught me from the first sentence. I love how human Sam is here, though he seems to think he's not. His interactions with the waitress, Nathan, the ghost, even the other hunters say differently.

I love that he sends the knife to Bobby, worrying that he'll know who S is.

I love what Sam can do, and that he singed half his hair off trying to transform rocks. Humor in unexpected places makes me very happy.

I love that he's writing to Dean, keeping connected even if Dean will never know.

I also was expecting the rocks to be the Impala, so nice job there too!

Wanted to get these in because usually by the time I get to the end, some slip my mind.

I really like the slow build here, as Sam figures out what he has, what will be, and what he wants.
