I wasn't even aware of the fandom, or fanfiction until late 2005, where I was one of the MANY obsessively reading, non-reviewing lurkers on SH.

Anywho, when I can't sleep (like now, 2:30 am/pacific) I google random fandom terms to see what comes up. While I was searching "MLC Snape," this forum post, started back in 2003, popped up.
Ah, the good old days when sshg was NOT a popular ship.
What's the deal with Snape/Hermione fics? Gross!

And for something not the least bit gross, I'd like to rec a fabulous Virgin!Snape fic I've been following by the very talented Azrael. Not only is Snape 50 years-old and unexperienced, he's sarcastic, irritable, uncomfortable and adorably shy. :GUSHES:
