It’s in French but I’m okay with that. I really like it. Most of the time, I’m not interested in crossovers for the confrontation between two universes but for the meeting between two characters, and I guess it reflects on my fics. I wrote a Heroes/X-Men fic because I thought it would be interesting to see how someone like Rogue (who can’t touch people) would react to a girl like Claire (who can heal herself) and it ended up being Folded, and unfolded, and unfolding. For this one, I wanted Sylar and Bellatrix (both killers who show no remorse or mercy) to meet and face each other, and see what could happen. Anyway, I'll try to translate it in English as soon as possible, but it made me think.
I was looking for a Heroes beta on a community, and there was an option like "things you refuse to read", and a girl said "pairings that make no sense". And I was, uh, okay, but what does that mean exactly ?
Pairings that are not canon ? Pairings that aren't about incest or violence ? Because, if you think about it, it's all about personal taste.
I like Sylar/Mohinder, most people don't because they think Mohinder can't fall for a man who killed his own father. I like Claude/Peter, but Claude tends to disappear a lot and then not showing up at all.
Eden/Sylar is a pairing that works for me, but not for a lot of people. And lately I found The Almost Totally Random Pairing Generator and wrote drabbles about unconventional pairings such as D.L./Nathan, Matt/Audrey and Zach/HRG.
And I think Milo and Adrian play Peter and Nathan in such a way, that yes, you could easily think they're in love. Does it make sense ? (and I bet nobody thinks Sylar/Bellatrix is a pairing that could work)
My point is, I'll never find a beta ;o)
Also, I'm still trying to get over the fact that I could have been in Paris (I mean, I was a month ago) seeing Milo, Adrian, Jack and Hayden >_<
And they look like such a cute happy family *o*
But they look a bit tired here (it was taken today I think).
