the valley of wolves presents...saturnalia

Dec 25, 2008 13:00

so, graham sent me some tapes to mix, because he wanted to do something for the holiday. the dude is kind of stone cold weird, this is what his mail said:

"hey man, here are some new tapes to mix. i hate this stupid holiday, so i thought it would be a challenge to make some "xmas muzak". i guess if your corpse is celebrating the holiday by rotting at the bottom of a well, then this is probably what should be playing. do your internet thing when it's mixed, i'm sure it will be great.

the song names are:

1. the arrival of winter ice (like tiny teeth against your skin)
2. u.l.o.g. (under leaves of grass)
3. presence

this little bunch of pieces is called "saturnalia", which is the old school version of xmas. anyway, here's to hoping we survive the winter ice. cheers!"

i know he lives in a warehouse in a cold state, with a bunch of mics and amps. he doesn't "do" the internet. like i said, he's weird.

you can click on the song titles to download the songs. i have to say, they are definitely different from the EP that he did before. i guess they sound like christmas music from hell or something, maybe. as always, you can download and import them into itunes for full info. also, you can share these far and wide, if you'd like.

anyway, happy holidays, if you're into that sort of thing. enjoy the music.
