Where are all these nice people coming from?!
I expected two of my professors to agree to my request for an extension. But my third prof is the one who didn't seem to care about my academic performance at all. Somehow, over the course of a few days, my opinion of her was changed completely. First she gave me an extension after I'd said I'd have the paper done in time, no sweat, and then frantically backpedaled. Then, I realized that the extension she gave me was a full 12 hours extra. After a horrible bit of conflict in schedules, she granted me an extension past the written work deadline to be arranged with my dean. I picked a date that I thought was doable and not unreasonable. Hopefully I can keep to that.
To add to all of this, an anonymous donor randomly bought me 12 months of LJ. It's not even my birthday or anything! I wish I knew who it was so I could thank them properly.
Just when I think the world is crashing down, little happy things happen.
