so since i moved to TN i shop on line because there aren't a lot of choices and frankly it is just easier to have things delivered.
i was searching for a black couch that wasn't leather and i came accross this one
it has the stupid Nascar emblem on it so at first i was like"no way! i am not getting a nascar couch " but it has that tim burton feel and i like the red and so the more i looked at it the more it grew on me.i though it was funny and i thought what the hell i will go ahead and get the matching chair
so i order from target on Sept. 28th
two days before i got a phone call from the furniture delivery place, they left a message with there phone number and said your "furniture " is coming will you be home
on Oct 28th i received the chair. I asked wheres the sofa? do you have the sofa? ooh they assured me it was just the chair.
on Oct 30th i left for Boston for a week. i kept calling the furniture place do you have the sofa? where's the sofa? i wanted to know because seeing i was not in TN i wanted to make arrangements for someone to be at the house. they said no (what ever)
ok so when i got back i wrote target an called target
the weird thing was there was no tracking for the sofa or the chair but all of a sudden they stated they both were delivered and charged my card.
i kept calling and writing and no one would do anything. one supervisor i spoke with said seeing the chair had free shipping and the shipping was $250.00 she would take $125.00 off the shipping - but the i still did not have the couch!
a few days later i wrote target again and they wrote back it seems this issue has been resolved. I started to freak out! NO - i don't have the couch i was but i was charged!
i called target again!
this lady i got this time was a real jerk because what they wanted to do was refund me for the couch but not the shipping even though the shipping was free on the chair and if i had ordered them separately they would had to refund the shipping. the truth of the matter was i did not want my money back i just wanted the couch. so i asked to speak to her supervisor which she did not want to put me through to -
finally she sent me to her supervisor who was also a jerk. they were treating me like a criminal and like i received this item which i did not receive.
so i was like "is there someone above YOU i can speak to." now finally i spoke to someone who would help me. the supervisors manager.
he said well why don't we just reorder it for you? i was like that is what i want! all i want is the couch.
so from sept 28th - jan. 14th is when i finally received it. to my surprise they used the same delivery company that delivered the chair to where the first sofa mysteriously disappeared, but the saga of the couch is not over because it didn't want to fit through the front door.
these two guys finally got it through the front door but could not get it through the living room door. So they stood it up in the hallway and left.
Aleister was working and when he got home he trying everything to get it in the living room but could not. His uncle had to come over and take out part of the doorway to get it through
his uncle said "Why Didn't she just return it?"
of corse he didn't know the whole story but after all that i will be damned to return this Ficken couch!!!
for those of you that know me well i am obsessive and i though about the couch everyday till the issue was resolved. it is weird not to think about it anymore.
People who i have told this story to ask will you order from target again?
well when i have ordered other things from target like clothes i receive it in two days. So the answer is yes. but will i order a large ticket item from target again NO!
i will not be ordering a flat screen T.V. from them anytime soon
will i blog about this everywhere? yes -
and will i write the C.E.O. about this? Yes
