so i am sure anyone that has known me for any length of time is probably sick of hearing me rant about sequels and remakes, even those that agree with me. But one in particular has really been pushing my buttons of late ( Read more... )

1. They can change however much they want, per question 2. It seems silly to shoot the same exact movie with different actors and effects, but if they want to try it, that's fine.
2. The same basic concept of the story should stay the same as well as the important characters and plot points.
3. If they change a lot (beyond question 2), they should change the name. I'd prefer they put something in the name to identify that a movie is a remake even if the name is different and the movie is still similar.
4. I don't care if it's remade or not. I don't have to go watch it.
5. People's lives are a sequence of stories, so there is always a way to make a sequel to a movie.
6. I don't think there's any particular formula here.
