So, AIG got its first bailout amount $85 billion and held a $440,000 retreat in California, which included almost $24,000 in spa treatments. They said they planned it before the bailout, but they had to have known how badly the company was hurting at that point.

Then, they ask for an additional $37 billion, and send Executives on a hunting trip to Europe that cost around $86,000, claiming it was also planned before the bailout. (yet still, i say, after they knew they were hurting).

now, while requesting to increase their aid to a grand total of around $170 billion, they have the AUDACITY to hand out $165 million (part of a planned $450 million payout) to their executives, specifically to those who were the ones who lost the company money and should not have even earned a bonus this year. all this after reporting a $61 BILLION dollar loss last quarter.

at the very least, we should quit sending any of the funds and request a strict payback schedule. I am more than ever up for letting this company fall apart. I am sorry for those that would lose jobs, but i am a believer that the fortresses that protect these people that live on the backs of others need to be torn down. If we used this money to help the struggling small businesses so they could hire more, or to help the struggling home owner stay under their roof, or to help the struggling low income tax payer make rent and put food on their table... if we did this, it would ease the pain from the collapse of unethical companies like AIG.
