The Lameness of Me

Aug 03, 2007 13:22

So I haven't posted in a long time.
I miss my friends, but I never call them, all of which drives home the fact that I am a lazy bitch responsible for my loneliness.
I love Kostya, but (prepare your mind to be blown!) a husband is differnent from a friend.
I can't get all giggly and 'tarded with him.
I don't know how much PTO (ie time off) I have saved up.  Need to find out.
I went to siskiyou county last weekend.  It was okay, but stressful, which is why I didn't call anyone.  It was so hectic, including the fact that I drove almost 1,000 miles in five days.  Friday after work, I drove to Woodland.  I didn't leave until 7:30 in the hopes that I would miss the bad traffic, which I did.  Got there around 9:30, crashed at my aunt's, didn't sleep well.
We left the next morning at SIX IN THE MOTHER FUCKING MORNING!  We didn't drive in the same car because Karen was going home before I was.  So I had to drive three and a half hours by myself, which was insanely hard considering the fact that the longest I've ever driven by myself is maybe 80 minutes tops.  I would not have survived had it not been for a grande cafe americano with an extra shot of espress and a Rockstar energy drink.  It tastes like crap, but gets me wired.  So yeah, had about the equivalent of 6 cups of coffee.
Got to Weed, ate brekkies with my family, had some more coffee, helped set up for Fred's graduation party (he got his credential, yay him), and then took a three hour nap because I was so tired.  Got up, had the dull little party, went home to Big Springs and didn't get into be until midnight.
Sunday we got up, drove into Weed, spent time with the family, went home and got in bed by midnight.  Monday I started my period A WEEK EARLY, drove to walmart for ::coughs:: supplies, went to Weed, and celebrated my Mom's B-day.  Tuesday I drove up to medford to see my mom's friend Blanche, who is in the hospital, then I drove back to Big Springs, got my stuff, drove to Weed, picked up my grandmother, then drove to Woodland.  Crashed at my aunt's place on the floor, barely got any sleep, then got up and drove back to SF to avoid the traffic at rush hour.
So yeah, I did a lot of driving.
And I didn't even bother calling anyone to let them know where I was, because I figured no one would get a chance to see me.
But I got back wednesday, and i've worked for two days, but I'm so tired.  It was just a busy weekend and now all I want is sweet, sweet sleep.
I dunno, I just... I guess I'm just lazy when it comes to visiting friends on my time off.  Most of the time I get off I try to spend with my family because they miss me and I feel guilty.  I think I just have to set some time apart and see about maybe getting time to spend just with my friends.
It wouldn't be too hard to hop on BART, then Amtrak to Davis without telling my family.
Okay, I'm so ending this right now.  My brain is ded, and I think I'm rambling.
Peace out, hos.
