Merry Early Christmas
We were in Chicago last weekend. It sucked. Not the trip. Not the people. The city and the weather. I can officially and totally say, "I do not miss Chicago."
I had a really good time while I was there though. Which just goes to prove what I tell people down here, "Chicago is a fantastic place to visit (cough cough not duing winter) but it is a crummy place to live." It was so wonderful to see everyone again. I wish I hadn't been sick though. I also wish I had more time to hang out. It was a very fast weekend.
My illness lingers even till today. It is just down to the headache though. The congestion, thank god, has subsided. Plus, my teeth hurt. I think its a side-effect of the headache, but my teeth totally hurt.
Thank you to everyone who came on Friday (you know who you are). I was really happy to see everyone again. Congratulations to everyone who announced exciting announcements about the coming Mays. That's all super news. Yay! Good for you!
I know I'm tossing some pretty generic "thank yous" out, but it is a public blog so I don't want to be like "Thank you, John S. Smith 229-54-1244." Even though its all generic, I really did have a great time.
I also had a really good time seeing my parents. (which also makes me think the weekend was too short) I miss them a great deal. It is totally one of those things where I didn't realize how much I missed them until I saw them again. I'm glad to see they're doing so well though and it was really nice to be back with them. Next time we should all spend Christmas in El Paso though, where it is way warmer.
I don't really have any other specifics from the weekend though. It's kind of weird that Christmas hasn't happened yet, but it is already over for me. I still have to send out another gift or two, but its pretty much done for. I guess that is kind of what it means to be a jew and all... or... maybe not. It's confusing. I'm going to go lie down.
