rabble rabble ramble ramble
Okay. Enough.
I've realised that the only time I ever even bother to log into livejournal or post is when I'm really pissed off about something or really bored or really lonely or something. I guess its just a way to partially get out my frustration.
I've figured out a few things about life over the past few days:
1. Annapolis is boring and I'm bored partially because there's nothing going on, partially because I can't do much that I want to do, partially because my job is painstakingly boring and partially because I just don't have much excitement to look forward to this summer other than the end of August when I can go back to Boston.
2. I've been really ridiculous about my job. How often do you get paid 12 dollars an hour to update livejounal on your crackberry, print a bunch of badges, observe a few meetings and get free coffee from pappy every day? I really need to look at it from a more positive angle. I mean, working at a government contractor on a communication team is going to look kickass on a resume. It doesn't matter if it was boring.
3. Taylor swift is really an amazing songwriter. I know it sounds weird but for like, a 17 year old, she's pretty damn good. Totally random, but true. And I've been listening to her a lot lately.
4. I figured out that part of the reason I've been so frustrated with annapolis is that everyone is growing up and apart and away from annapolis and its hard to see that happen. And it also sucks because I'm missing out on a lot in Boston and at home because of work and such.
5. I met my friend Katie from Boston yesterday for lunch. She's down visiting colleges with her little sister and her family. I forgot how much I miss my friends in Boston and how nice it is to hang out with someone you haven't seen in a month to catch up.
6. I'm really bummed that I couldn't go to the film festival to see my opener but I'm really excited to be the new president of the film club next semester and meet with the directors at massart through my teacher.
7. Weezys new single hot revolver is excellent.
8. Yes, these are really random things and nobody reads this far into my live journal posts anyway so I can ramble all I want. See, even the title of this is rabble rabble ramble ramble. There. Justified rambles.
9. I find out from st Andrews like, next month! I can't wait, either way. At least if they don't admit me, I'll get my own bedroom 2nd semester because my roommate will be abroad.
10. The pentagon gym is a million times better than the naval academy one.
11. My crackberry is amazing for all of my interwebz browsing during work because they monitor my browsing on my work computer (probably shouldn't have been online shopping for purses yesterday then).
12. The people at battelle aren't as square as I thought they were. I should really give people more cred before I write them off.
13. Also, I'd just like to point out that Janet and the colonel bought mark his 4th car for the summer and I still have yet to own my own car.
14. I can almost guarantee that once I post this novel of a post, there will be a server error resulting in my losing this whole thing to the eternal abyss of interwebz land.
Anyway. That's life these days. I need to stop using livekournal just for bitching and moaning.
