Commissioner Gorden’s bullet had hit its mark. The Joker lay unmoving in the rain.
Bruce knelt down and taking off his mask, no longer Batman he gathered the body into his arms.
The rain began to wash away the perpetual smile on the clown’s face.
Not caring who was watching Bruce bent down and kissed scarred lips.
"I loved a man once. I never told him,” Bruce cried
The joker’s eyes fluttered open, and he looked at the Commissioner. “He loves me, he really loves me. We knew we’d get you to admit it Brucy”
Batman kissed the Joker deeply.
