the back burner
Being a good parent is about more than just providing food, clothing, and shelter for your child. It is about more than socializing them into a community and sending them to school. It is also about teaching your child how to tip their head back in the shower so the shampoo doesn't run into their eyes. Somehow, I thought I'd mastered that lesson, but the last shower I took proved me wrong. I only hope I can teach my child how to do better.
