No, not you the reader. I assume most of the people reading this are my friends and therefore possess a brain in his or her head. Today was a thrilling day in my education class. We got into yet another pointless discussion on meaning of words because someone had to talk about it! I know I crow on and on about philosophy and meaning of words and...does anyone listen to me? Seriously...I have said the same thing in my class about a million times to this girl and I doubt she hears a word I fucking say. I am fairly confident that people I freely associate with listen to me. I would almost bet on it. This girl...bah! She believes that history can be taught without bias or that Hitler can be spun in a positive non-biased light or "should teachers be allowed to say homosexuality is wrong?" So...I kinda got on my soap box in class and got preachy. I know everyone hates it when I get preachy. I hate it. I may look like I enjoy doing it but i loath it. Why did I need to explain to her, in front of everyone the perils of living in a free society and the need that teachers be social guardians. We have an obligation as a people to enforce right and wrong along with all the other sunshiny crippty crap that gets me through the day.
I will be honest with you...I love teaching kids, I love teaching. I hate, hate, hate,hate,hate, loathe and despise when I need to teach someone in my own fields to be responsible with the knowledge we possess! Hitler a good guy? NO! Moral relativism=I get to punch you in the throat and not goto jail. How hard is this for people to understand? Why in the Gods names can my peers not understand this?!?! People who are not historians and not philosophers understand that you need to be academically and intellectually responsible before you open your mouth about history and philosophy! Don't just...don't just start talking about crap you know nothing about or try some sophist slight of hand to get people to think like you about an issue! Don't be shocking to be shocking! Stay frosty and...I am glad none of you are as....annoying to me as this person is. Stay frosty and please...don't be a fool, think before you drink...er...speak...in fact....if you got nothing good to say...drink. At least then you will be entertaining.
