The '08 in Reveiw Post
Ahh yes, tis the season to do the obligatory wrap-up post. What did I do all year? What didn't I do, that maybe I should have? Well, that's just why you're reading this right?
I'll try to make it as concise as possible, which probably won't happen but alas... Here we goes.
January - Started 2008 in New Jersey and then in VA with Jen. Came home jobless. Watched some Bob Ross, election started to warm up, tried to be useful as an intern (no blue dresses here!).
February - Castro stepped down, professed love of the "future" Pres. Obama after a trip to Ohio, remained jobless.
March - Got an office job in a law office, continued to struggle with understanding the state of US foreign policy, continued to watch too much (if there is such a thing) of PBS, and tried to convince Nick not to vote for Nader.
April - Complied a list of all my sexual partners up to then and left it open to the public for 2 months, the number has grown by two since then. Continued to work.
May - Turned 26. Went to Chicago for on my first Big Boy trip there. Got into a mess of fun with Andrew and Shoes. Got my other tit pierced. Had a horrid job interview while I was there (they did offer me the job two weeks later). Politics went from warm to hot.
June - Continued to work at the law office, which was becoming unbearable. Did Pride in T.O with Matt again (Jen was there for the summer and joined). Got laid by a cute Canuk. Got offered a job on a campaign and took it.
July - Finally got over Steven. Cue the balloons, I'll see y'all sometime in November!
Aug, Sept, Oct - Campaign... From one to 3. I've seen more of Monroe than I ever thought. Bought records in the between times (two). Brakes went out on Eli, saw life flicker.
November - Drop the balloons, all four of the campaigns I worked on won! Totally called the election in Feb. I'm still in shock. Saw The Decemberists live at the Warton (I love Colin so much more than before). Took a new-ish job. Prepared for moving. Stopped speaking to my sister.
December - Moved. Worked. Balancing life of before with life of now. Drinking way too much. Got a Wii! Making new friends but that's a work in progress. Mehrr :(
That's it in a soy pod. It was an odd year to say the least. The type of odd, I'm still figuring out to be honest. 2008 is like that piece of gum you swallow and have to digest for a while.
