birthday and such
my birthday was good-aside from the whole turning 24 bit. i'm having trouble with it, especially since Jeff informed me i am now in my "mid twenties" eeek. i just don't feel that grown up. i don't feel like i'm doing what a 24 year old should be doing (working?). however, this is rediculous because i AM doing what a 24 year old english major-y person does quite often-going to grad school. so i'm just being wierd and thinking about things too much because who cares really? anyway. i worked out with Brian friday and it was pretty good. then went over to Laila and Jeff's for listening to 80's music, eating of ribs, mac and cheese, baked beans, yummy orange crunch cake and of course birthday cake remix ice cream from cold stone. Laila and Jeff really went out of their way to make my first birthday in Colorado special. we even listened to The Doors during dinner. my birthday package:

so, everything i wanted plus some unexpected things
there was a tiny moment of badness though. Brutus and Archie were playing on the couch and jumped on top of me-Archie was going for my face and they were both on top of me and i seriously, no joke tthought i was going to suffocate on my birthday because it's hard to get 85+ pounds of dog off you when they are in your face and you're basically laying down. in the large scheme of things, not a big deal but i really wss scared. i have a scratch on my neck and it hurts a lot. anyway, the rest was so great i couldn't have asked for anything better
