Missing Book
If only there was an "Ask Doug" for this kind of thing.
I am trying to locate a much loved picture book from my childhood. Problem is I don't know who illustrated it, who compiled it or what it is called.
There are no words, the illustrations are all from the perspective of the puppy (you only ever see the legs and ankles of the humans). And I think the colour was fairly flat (no shading).
It's about a little girl whose mother buys her a puppy from the pet shop. Only when they bring the puppy home, the puppy is very sad because it misses its sibling/s. The little girl is sad because the puppy is sad (you can see tear drops falling to her shoes) So someone disappears and brings home the sibling puppy. And everyone is very happy.
Any ideas?
