Day 8 - Rubik and me
I'm rather pleased with myself today because i managed to solve 2/3 of a Rubik's Cube. I never imagine i can even solve 1 side of it. Although solving 2/3 of it is nothing to be proud of but at least it's a step closer to completing the whole cube. =p It's definitely not because of the movie Pursuit of Happyness that's why I bought my cube. (By the way, Will Smith actually learnt how to solve the cube in 2 minutes from Tyson Mao ----> this guy is damn pro, can!) I actually bought it last year, but only played with it initially. Then I left my cube in office all these while and it's only because i'm going for reservist, that's why I bought my cube home. Now, I finally have some extra time to "play" with it. lol... Hopefully i am able complete it before i turn 85 years old! Help Tyson!
Anyway was watching chinese news just now, they were talking about this Singapore National Barista Championship. It got me excited! Being an ex-CB barista and hardcore coffee-drinker myself, it's always interesting to share and learn from fellow baristas. Now, there's actually a competition for it in Singapore! Winner gets SGD$1k and a chance to go Tokyo to represent Singapore. I so wanna go look-look-see-see! I hope my off days will fall somewhere in between 29-31 March. I think it's gonna be an eye-opener.
