stand your ground

this is what's cool:

yesterday after i got a haircut, i hiked from the mission up to twin peaks. i ate my burrito with the wind and the tourists for company. then, i went down to golden gate park and laid on the grass in front of the conservatory or flowers.

my hair is a good new color-a deep auburn red. when i can't change big things, i change little ones.

i'm taking a free writing workshop at the main library, taught by michelle tea. she's a little more eager and mellow than i would have guessed from her books, and she's really smart about writing. there was a youth speaks girl i know peripherally, a girl who recognized me from the slam, a gentle and sort of maladjusted homeschooled boy and a few other girls. i think it's going to be a good class, or at the very least a good space to write.

i'm making muffins for the people in my 1act.

i've got a lot of new music. i'm in love with pretty girls make graves (perfect), mirah (poetic and like noneother) and the dance hall crashers (excellently bouncy and aggressive).

i'm better than i was last week. (i really don't want to backslide, but i bet i will.)

summer can't come soon enough.
