so it's been a while since i've posted anything. thought i'd give a few quick life updates, in case any of you were curious.
okay.
living situation: i'm back in chicago (again). i'm living with my mom's mother (Granny) and we're about to move into another house. woohoo. this'll be my 10th move in 5 years OMFG. but it's all good in general - Gran and i have always gotten along really well. we spend our evenings eating oreos in her bed and watching criminal minds (swoon, oh dr. reid, talk nerdy to me!)
employment: i have 2 jobs now. i nanny on weekends for my little cousin Sydney (who's 4 years old now!) when my aunt is on call (she's an OB/GYN). it's a lot of fun, and i love Syd and her sister Sohpia (who's 5), though Syd is SO defiant it's a little exhausting.
i also am working for a studio down near where my dad lives. i'm a part-time photographer, photoshop editor, exhibiting artist in their front gallery with some of my drawings, and i also do some modeling. i'm going to model in their upcoming fashion show on july 31st, and part of the proceeds go towards a charity for suicide prevention that was started by the girl organizing the show, Sherrie. Sherrie is planning another fashion show/event in November that i'm going to be really involved in, and by my suggestion, part of the proceeds from that are going to FSMA (Families of SMA). if you guys remember, my cousin Sohpia has SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) so i'm REALLY excited to be doing something for her and other children affected by it.
other: i'm still in love with Zachary Quinto. like, woah. but, i won't dwell on this since i'll probably never meet the guy. ....but still....UNF. OH! and he has a new video on funny or die! it's called Before After. it's hilarious. go watch it. NOW.
i've been listening to a lot of new (and old) music lately. i wanna reccomend grooveshark.com to all of you - you can listen to any song you like, as many times as you like for free, and can put them on your system or a CD. EPIC WIN.
here's some bands i've been indulging in lately:
School of Seven Bells
Explosions in the Sky
Gogol Bordello
Psapp
Kings of Convenience
Regina Spektor (as always)
Joanna Newsom (new album!!! called Have One On Me)
Niyaz
Crash Kings

The Books (as usual)
And of course NIN and TV on the Radio
i guess that's all for now. i've been doing a lot more lurking than posting and commenting, but i swear i haven't forgotten about all of you - i'm keeping up....very quietly.
i love you all!
