Buying a house is ssooooooooo much fun
Just got off the phone with my broker (buyer's broker) and it looks like it's highly likely there'll it be necessary to extend the date for us to sign the P&S for the house we're buying by another day or so. My lawyer faxed changes to the P&S agreement to the seller's broker last Thursday and left her a voice mail. (The sellers aren't using a lawyer which you would think should make things simpler. Nope.) Yesterday at 4 pm the seller's realtor finally faxed her latest changes (34 pages worth) to the P&S to my lawyer at 4 pm when we're scheduled to sign the P&S today. To add to that the seller's realtor will be on the road until 3 pm today. She claims her changes were just to simplify things....yeah right!
So it looks like one moore day in purgatory...
And here I thought that the actual packing and moving would be the worst part of all this process. Given how painful negotiating the inspection results with the people buying our house in Arlington and now all delays in buying the new house, I certainly hope that packing and moving doesn't turn out to be even worse than the first two have been!
