cheap / free monitors, computer bits, and computer shit
so i'm trying to clean/pack/reduce the crap in my apt, and i'm finding piles upon piles of old computer shit. i feel a little bad about just trashing it, since for the most part it's functional - just a little archaic. a lot of it may be more useful for art projects/decorations/halloween costumes than computing
here's the approximate rundown (off the top of my head)
- 6? asst SVGA monitors - mostly 15-16"
- 2-3 scanners (maybe 1 usb, otherwise parallel/scsi)
- 10-15 cd and/or dvd drives
- misc CPUs (300-500mhz), pci/agp video cards, NICs, modems, ribbon cables, floppy drives, etc, etc, etc, probably a few old motherboards & cases...
if you're just looking for a spare/second monitor, that's fine - but otherwise i'm hoping to get rid of the rest as a single lot, rather than running a flea market out of my living room.
i wouldn't mind making a couple bucks off it, but i'll also accept offers of alcohol, cigarettes, or just plain willingness to haul it all out of here.
i've also got a laser disc player in uncertain condition that anyone's welcome to.
i'm in lower allston - anything you want is up to you to pick up.
