Just got back from my yearly physical. As always the blood work is the most important thing and the results are:
The PSA test for prostate cancer went down from 1.21 to 1.06 so that's good
Overall Cholesterol when down from 188 to 184 which is good since at one time it was 245
Triglycerides when down from 213 to 188, while still on the high range, it was 284 in 2005
HDL (the good stuff) went up from 28 to 32. It's still too low, but gaining from a low of 24 a couple years ago
LDL (the bad stuff) went down from 117 to 114, which is great as it was at 186 at one time.
Blood pressure came in at 114 over 72 which is spot on and my breath test came out at 600 where a person without asthma at my age is expected to be at 625, so that was pretty good.
I do have to go to physical therapy to have work done on my left shoulder which I banged pretty hard when falling on some ice this past winter. The doctor thinks that I did some damage to the rotator cuff as well as having a bit of bursitis in there as well, so he gave me some anti-inflammatory pills and I'll get an appointment to start the therapy as well. Hopefully, that will take care of it.
