: ) I didn't figure I'd get anything. My opinion on fanfic and icons and all that *stuff* is that people who spend time to create quality art or stories don't get any pay. The only type of pay or return they will ever get is a compliment in a comment and it won't hurt me to tell them what I honestly think of their work if I appreciated it.
Now, on the other hand, those people who post utter crap, well I usually don't bother posting anything at all because they didn't bother putting any effort in either. : ) I used to actually try to post constructive criticism until I got answers back from people like "I only re-read my homework" and "I'm just posting this for myself, I don't care if people like it." So, I gave up on that.
But people who care and post really nice stuff, I try to take the time, and your icons were different and really pretty.
I'd never heard of GIMP. Thanks a lot. I'll do a Google search and hunt around. I do most of my photo editing with Picasa these days since it's free and really easy to use. I've used other stuff but I figure why bother buying stuff if I can get something nearly as nice for free?
See, here's the difference between me and those other people: I don't re-read my homework. :) No, in all seriousness, I don't get that many compliments because I'm not that well known or whatever, so I love it when I do, especially such a long one. And I know that when I fangirl over someone's art, I like it when they answer. Makes me feel less ridiculous. :) Not that I consider myself fangirl-worthy by any means. That was an example. Yeah, GIMP is an image-manipulation program, so it lets you do a lot more stuff than things like Picasa. It seems kind of complicated at first, but once you figure it out, it's quite easy.
