academy awards!!!!!!!!!
Weird oscar nominations this year. Leo gets nominated for Blood Diamond but not The Departed? No Nicholson nomination for Departed? Dreamgirls gets snubbed?
anyways, overall I think they're really damn good nominations. I would've liked to seen Children of Men get a few more noms...and The Fountain to get nominated for something......but other then that solid list of nominations. Oh, and fuck yeah Mark Walhberg gets nominated for The Departed.....him and Alec Baldwin were my two favorite parts of the movie.
Here were the best picture noms:
The Departed (Great movie, pulling for Scorcese to finally get his best director)
Little Miss Sunshine (Fuck YES! I am personally rooting for this to win)
Babel (Hope to see soon)
Letters to Iwo Jima (Hope to see soon, Eastwood really has a nice little run going for himself at this point....this is his third movie in a row nominated for best picture)
The Queen (Gonna have to see...the surprise best picture nomination if you will)
all in all an interesting year.
