True Story:
Yesterday while sitting in my poli sci classroom waiting for my prof to start lecture i kindly asked him if he could check the score of the brewer game (it was 2:15 the game started at noon) on the computer conveniently located on the desk in the front of the room. He nicely responded back saying "i would if it didnt take this computer 20 min to start up, but you can check across the hall if you wish" so i proceed to get up and check, the nice young man sitting behind me decided to join me in my adventure across the hallway. We get there and were unsuccessful. However we had a nice conversation concerning the state of our beloved team.
Ten minutes into lecture he gets up to pass in the sign in sheet and while he passes my table he sets a note down on top of my notebook. It reads "Hey my name is Andy, you talk better baseball than 90% of my friends Im impressed, you go to many games? I go like at least twice a week. we should to catch some games together this weekend or something?" (note the question mark)
My immediate thoughts, they're in chicago this weekend.
I didnt want to respond by turning around to hand him the note back in the middle of the lecture i was listening to (its a little obvious). So i decided id talk to him after class, while giving the hint that i wasnt interested, in a kind gentle fashion. I would have liked to go to a game. but thats what we call leading a boy on and it is not kind at all.
Class ended and i immediately turn around to talk to the guy named andy, but he was already out the door, oops, i think he was upset that i didnt write back, oh well. i hope he doesnt decide to skip class until the end of semester just cause of me not writing back.
Moral of the story: Notes are not the way to go, unless you're in 7th grade. you want to learn more about a girl in your class? Wait till lecture is over to talk to her.
OH PS LIZ guess who dropped off the order tuesday...
