Yeah, life. This semester has been pretty hectic. I am in the middle of my week break during exams and this has to be one of the least stressful times. I wish the semester was already over, but I am grateful for the break. This would be helping my WoW crack addiction, but I have now gotten my Dad and Aunt addicted which means limited computer time for me.
This semester I volunteered/interned at the Attorney General's office. This was an adventure in bureaucracy, but as crazy as it sounds, it is something I could do. Especially sentencing work, which is like algebra on crack and actually quite fun. Everyone should think I am crazy at that moment, but who knows where you will end up.
At the same time, I was researching for a professor which was fun, looking at homeowner's associations, the crazy things they do, and the crazy things the legislature does to try to stop them. It was a fun project, and I wish I would have had more time to dedicate to it. But at the end of that project I found out that another one of my professors writes about New Urbanism and its relationship with the law. Since this is one of the things that I really wanted to do, this is pretty awesome.
On top of that, I am standing President of Amnesty International through a whole chain of mishaps. This should be fun, but it was a lot more then I thought I was taking on. I find this especially interesting because I have never traveled abroad and as any of my undergrad professors would tell you, I fail at international academics.
Oh, and rock climbing is awesome. Purely awesome. It combines the zen moment of surfing with the exercise of weight lifting and a social aspect of hanging out with cool people. It is such a brilliant break from law school, where every move is measured and noted, that it has become a necessity.
And so now classes are coming to a close and I have no clue what I will be assigned next semester. Rob will be down on Thursday and my brother is already back (full of 18 year old knowledge as always). I feel like I am writing a Christmas letter or something. Hope everyone is doing well. Someday I will get use to the idea of updating live journal ...
