Wah, Law school can eat your brain. So can Eureka for that. Basically, everything is still going well with me. I was all grumpy and hating the practice of law until yesterday, when I happened into the pro bono fair on campus from a mixture of curiosity and hunger (free pizza is my life support). It just happened that one of the 3Ls here is working with a group that does exactly what type of educational law I wanted to practice that most law schools (other than Stetson) and lawyers told me was non-existent. I am so ridiculously happy about this! I got to talk to someone else who doesn't think it is crazy to try to help children whose needs are not being met, contrary to their IEPs. On top of that, she said she would email me if there were any educational cases that came up so I could help. Yay! I mean, I will be the coffee fetcher and paper gopher, but it will be actually doing something that I would love to do and meeting other people that love it and learning about how to do this in the future. Now law school doesn't look so boring, since I can place it in the context of maybe helping some one someday. (though if I am presented with another attractive nuisance hypothetical, I will kill the child involved myself (metaphorically since the child does not exist)). I guess kids everywhere, all over the country, are falling into pools and climbing fences and trees that they shouldn't and either killing or maiming themselves. I tell you, it is an epidemic of imaginary kids running to drown themselves in the neighbor's pool which has two fences and a pit bull guarding it.
Otherwise, life is fun. My football team is ridiculously serious, but winning all of their games so far (2-0). I have watched all of the episodes of the first season of Eureka in the last week, and surprisingly it makes me much more understanding about how the second season has been going. At first I was pissed cause I thought they were just changing the characters to make sure the show could go for longer than one season, but now I understand the characters a little better and the intentions of the director and I feel better about it. Man, I have no life if I care that much about a television show. I really don't I am sitting at the library writing this now trying to avoid my research and writing homework (worst workbook ever!). Oh, and the librarians here is awesome. One was just telling me about how she made a martini hat for a costume party (she went as a waitress). Totally awesome! Seriously, I think I could get along better with the staff and faculty here than I can with some of the students.
Oh, and WoW can eat my sole hard core! I still have to test out the vocal chat, but if it can be privately held between two people, huzzah for not having to run two computers at a time when I play WoW with Rob.
Anyways, yeah, that is what is going down in my life. I should probably go rewrite my office memo. I will be an awesome writer if I survive this year, lol.
