So I actually got most of my shopping for the first week of law school done today (I just have to go actually buy the books for my class and a rash guard for surfing). Since tomorrow starts the last weekend of the tax exemption, I wanted to get it done and over with before the crazy people start coming out of the wood work. I am actually quite happy with what I got, a good suit, pump shoes, a Gig zip drive, and the greatest, fugliest fake goth boots ever. Not that the boots are for law school, but all in all they were necessary and six bucks, so I am not going to complain. The suit turned out to be exactly what I wanted after three trips to different malls over the last month, and it turns out that it was on massive clearance, so I am extremely pleased.
I just got back from the Carolinas with Rob's family. It was an adventure, especially going up to Maggie Valley where my family went every year for about ten years for a week in the falls. We did a lot of things that I had never done, like sliding down a rock face into really cold water, saw Asheville (which has a lot of hippies!), and went white water rafting (so much fun). It was gorgeous up there and I had a riot.
After I got back, Rob head off for the other coast and I have been busy baking or trying to fix an Xbox one of my dad's ex-tenants left behind. The apartment was atrocious, with everything left like someone was still living there and dog poo all over the floors. People just keeping on reaffirming my belief that tenants create their own slums. Anyways, I took the thing apart and rebuilt the cd drive, but the mother board was already shorting out so there was no hope. Now I am just stuck playing WoW all the time and trying to avoid cleaning out another apartment. What a bummer.
Oh, and my mom got heirloom roses at the state fair this year and they just started blooming. They smell so good!
