Oh, what a weekend!

Debauchery at it's finest....

I spent all last week working on the club. Things are moving along nicely. We tore the roof out last Wednesday, and appropriately enough, got huge rainstorms for the following 4 days. When we weren't brooming water out of the club, we worked on building the kitchen for the lounge. I finished all the painting in the disco. This week I'm making the stencils for the wall patterns and getting that done as well as getting all the fabric ordered for the curtains for all the windows and the stage.

Saturday, we all took a break to do some promotional work at the Gay Pride Parade and Cultural Festival. I made shirts for Kate, Jesse, Mark and myself with the Tilt logo on the front and the House Of Sonic logo on the back. Mistake number one was dying them orange, instead of taking some extra time to find orange material. About 1/2 hr. after the Cultural Festival began, it started POURING! 3" of rain in 15 minutes. We were drenched! (and the orange dye was bleeding all over the place). Jesse and I walked 1/2 mile through the river that used to be South Avenue to get to his Jeep so we could head over to the club and try to keep it from flooding. Luckily, Mark had gone in earlier and poured a concrete barrier between the courtyard and the Foyer, so it was dry as a bone.

I ran home, took a shower and changed and headed back to Kate's place for a while. The we all headed over to Nickl's for his birthday bash. Jon Herbert (quite possibly the best DJ ever!), joined us there. Around midnight a bunch of us decided to hit the clubs. We headed to RJ's first. Jesse, Jon, Mark and I each found the cutest boys in the club and piled them into our vehicles to head over to Muther's. Once there, we spent the majority of the night dancing and hanging out on the patio. Around 3 a.m., Jesse decided we should all head back to Nickl's with our entourage of cuties to go skinny dipping. By that time, Mark, Tommy (one of the cute boys) and I were the only ones sober enough to drive, so we piled everyone in the largest vehicles and the three of us drove everyone out to the pool. Nickl had already passed out, but Gia (his sister), J.P. and Nick Sr. were still awake and acted as lifeguards for a bunch of naked, drunk fags. We swam around and such 'til 5 a.m. and then headed over to Phyliss' and David's house where we sat on the porch, smoked and drank and talked about religion, art, music and such until well after the sun had come up. By 9 a.m., everyone had passed out except Phyliss and myself. I cleaned up while he got ready for work and I drove him in. We were 'supposed' to pressure wash the courtyard, bathrooms and foyer at 3 p.m., but noone ended up getting to the club 'til 6. Kate did the walls in the courtyard, I did the floors.... by that time, I was about ready to collapse, so I left to get some sleep. ...I didn't wake up 'til 11 a.m. this morning. I've never passed out for over 36 hrs. before....
