Second Post! Go me....
So I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, and I actually accomplished some sewing this summer, though not nearly as much as I had hoped. Things have been very busy the last few months. In any case, I have an update on the coat-- Mockup No. 2 is complete and ready to be mailed for fitting. Finally!
Here are some in-progress and final pictures, just to prove that I actually have made something. :)
Now I'm just praying the thing fits. There will be nine functional buttons on each sleeve, an interior welt pocket, and a back vent. Bag lining the coat was a nightmare, since I had to draft my own pattern for the lining, and it took forever to find a tutorial on how to bag line a jacket with a back vent. And even then I managed to screw it up several times. But it's done now, and looks pretty good, once you get past the ugliness of the fabric.
I have a couple other projects that I'm working on right now as well. More on those later.
