My cousin Matt was here for a week. We watched the first two seasons of Supernatural and various movies. I was glad he was here, but gladder that he left. We're good friends and have been for ages, but being around him can be incredibly frustrating. He only took one semester of college. When he's around me, he tries SO hard to look as educated, well read and intellectual as I am. It would be so much easier if he would just BE HIMSELF. blarg!
Saw the Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 which was pretty good.
Then after Matt left my friend Stowe was here for two weeks. It was nice to see her. She's most definitely an individual. Did my astrocartography. Apparently I'm supposed to thrive best in Brazil or South Africa. We had a very interesting discussion about God and religion. Left me with a lot to think and pray about.
While she was here, we saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (really fun movie!) and My Sister's Keeper (excellent movie yet VERY sad)
Made me realize anew how much I appreciate time to myself. I'm not a people person and I spend most of my time by myself and like it that way.
Going to give True Blood a try. People keep telling me about it, so I'm gonna check it out and see what I think.
Oh, Stowe unintentionally scared Sammy, so Sammy mostly hid while she was here. She came out and went nuts tonight with Stowe gone.
Discovered Lily Allen. LOVELOVELOVE her stuff, especially Not Fair.
Updated my playlist which I hadn't done in AGES.
Went and checked out Rising Star, Bob Marley's, and Pat O'Brian's Sat. night.
Had a very interesting conversation with a black guy at Bob marley's. He started by asking me about my tat, then asked if I liked Reggae. When I said it wasn't my fav, he asked what was so I told him. Then he asked my if I'd ever dated a black guy. I started laughing at the situation, and he thought I was laughing at him and asked if I didn't crossover. I just said that I have trouble dating GUYS, black or white. He said he understood because he had four sisters.
I actually wouldn't have minded at least getting to know him better. He seemed nice, seemed to actually want to talk to me, and not just talk me into bed, and wasn't pushy. But, we didn't even exchange names, let alone phone numbers so there isn't much chance of that. Made for an interesting evening, anyway.
Not much else going on lately to speak of. How about you?
Oh, nearly forgot! Saw Public Enemies. That is one HELL of a movie!! Depp and Bale REALLY need to make more movies together.
