The bug stayed asleep on the couch after I brought him in from the car, removed his boots, and covered him with a blanket. He slept for 90 minutes then woke with a shriek. I think he had a back spasm. Then he was a cuddle monkey while we watched a bit of Dora. This is the first time he's ever slept on anything other than a bed.
Surprisingly he went to bed within a reasonable amount of time tonight, got warmed up then crashed hard.
Friday's early wake up, then the 7:30 shriek yesterday, and fussing this morning has got me burnt out too. I still managed to make it to a party last night and hang with a few friends, share mead and delicious food. Baby bug got to play with 2 other little boys while I got grown up time. It was great fun! The bug fell asleep on the drive home but I was smart and put him into jammies before we left Metcalfe. It was so easy. Daddy pulled off his coat and boots, and we got him to bed by 11:00. This child is an energizer bunny. He won't go to sleep until we make him stop.
I can't BELIEVE how well he made it through the day. Poor guy. He had so much fun with
jellyjenn and her boys at brunch, then we chattered our way through the grocery store.
I'm looking forward to making a crock-pot roast chicken from my friend's chicken farm partnered up with baby potatoes, sweet potatoes and an onion. Seasoning: Lemon juice and pepper.
Monday I have to make a decision about some business stuff. It's the client who I like working with but who never pays on time versus the client who is moderately controlling/somewhat abusive who pays weekly on time every Friday -- Number 2 had their assistant quit so they're looking to me to fill the gap until they hire another person in the position. Ahh... such is the nature of my business... decisions decisions.
