Unplug that TV and Computer

When I saw "An Inconvenient Truth," most of what was in the movie I already knew. But one thing I didn't, -- Even if you have appliances turned off, they are still drawing power! oO!

I don't recall the exact numbers, but if you unplug the TV, Computer, and other appliances you do not need, at the end of the year you could save something like $40, and savings on carbon emissions is significant too!!!

I was shocked. Something so simple. Something so easy, and yet the benefits are real to both your pocketbook and the well-being of the planet.

So not only should you switch all your light bulbs to Energy Star rated light bulbs, but you can save even more by UNPLUGGING what you are not using.

p.s. It's also smart to unplug appliances if you live in a lightning zone like I do. ^^;

p.s.s. Try to drive with the Air Conditioning in your car turned off. Try to drive when in the mornings and evenings instead of during the hottest part of the day. You will save so much gas and money! I get 33 MPG in my Honda by turning off the AC, and avoiding stop-and-go city traffic by sticking to the interstates instead. Other people spend $50 to $60 a week in gas, I spend $28. ^^ (Oh, and keep your tires properly inflated too, to reduce drag).
