Okemah And The Melody Of Riot
i'm 4 songs into the new Son Volt record and i can't believe it. i was so skeptical of this record because as much as i love the old Son Volt records and Jay Farrar's solo work, this just wasn't Son Volt, it was Jay and a bunch of hired hands. i was afraid it wouldn't sound like a band that it would be pointless for the name Son Volt to be on the record...but no. this is a record by a band, a renewed band with something to prove. it's a very good time to be a Jay Farrar fan right now, i can't wait to see these guys.
