Watching Apocalypse Now (Redux) for the first time as an English assignment (I'll [re]read Heart of Darkness afterward). On one level I'm amazed at the concentration of cinematographic and Thespian talent they got into one project. On another, I think I'm going to have weird dreams again.
I'm also amazed I've never seen this film before; it's old but it's so famous. I've read a lot of war novels and seen some war movies but for some reason I can't recall any that addressed PTSD/post-war psychology too. THat must just be my memory.
