P.A.P.D. is one of the most disgusting things that I've ever researched. Everything I've ever hated about people rolled into one bullet list of symptoms.
Edit: PAPD is a highly controversial disorder. Psychologists disagree whether it's a distinct disorder in itself, though it is firmly established as a description of specific behavior patterns. Here is one
psychometric study of DSM-IV PAPD diagnostic criteria, an analysis of the validity of PA personality disorder via testing and empirical data.
No to accuse anyone of mud-slinging, but for the uninformed: simply possessing any or even all of the criteria is not enough to qualify an annoying person with a psychological disorder. In other words, some passive aggressive behavior =/= a passive aggressive disorder. To have a disorder, the problem must be: 1) unusual in the population, 2) maladaptive/harmful to/interfering with society or daily life, and 3) personally distressing. These criteria are widely recognized.
Psychological science might involve a lot of bullshit, but it's not that full of bullshit.
