This reView, from Ain't It Cool News, pretty much Verifies what I suspected. It seems the MATRIXkowski brothers haVe pretty much missed the mark.

Keep in mind that it's one Fanboys review and what is written in the script and what a decent director can do with it, are two completly diffrent things. I also get pissed off at everyone bashing League. I liked the movie. It kept enough of the elements from the original story yet made much better improvbements in some of the Characters. Personally I hated Quatermain in the books. There was no reason for him to be there except as someone for Mina to belittle. At least in the movie he was a man of Action. And the second series of the books sucked huge ass. It was boring and rushed and just seemed like Alan Moore and Kevein O'neal really didn't want to write it.

I liked the League movie on it's own...it was a fun little romp...But I thought it was a horrible adaptation. That was until I discovered that the rights were optioned before the first comic series was even written...So it was an adaptation based off of a very vague outline.

And I liked the second comic series...it was pretty hard core.
