Here.[ History ] :
Integra is the great great great something granddaughter of Abraham van Helsing, the man who founded the Hellsing Organization, and foiled the great Count Dracula's, forcing him into the servitude of the Hellsing family. The Organization is dedicated to eradicating the undead from England, protecting country, crown, and Church, it's specialty being vampires and Ghouls; deflowered humans bitten by vampires and turned into zombie like creatures. She was born in England to Arthur Hellsing and her mother, whom has never really been seen in the series, and was destined to become the heiress of the Hellsing family. At the age of twelve, Integra inherited the Hellsing Organization from her father after he fell ill and passed away.
On his death bed, Arthur asked his brother, Richard, to watch over Integra and help her run the organization, in which Richard gladly agreed. Three days after her father's death, however, Richard sent his men out to find and kill Integra, because he felt that he had earned the rights to the family name, and the only way for him to do so would be her death. Before he passed, Integra's father told her that should she ever be backed into a corner by her enemies, to go down into the dungeons of the Hellsing manor and in the last cell, her salvation would be waiting. With the family butler, Walter, gone to South America, she had no other choice.
Using the airvents, Integra manuevered her way through the house and down into the dungeons. Upon arriving at the last cell, she discovered a shrivelled up corpse in the corner of the room, and pondered exactly how THAT was supposed to be her salvation. It wasn't long before her Uncle Richard arrived, and shot her in her left shoulder, sending blood flying all over. Just as he moved to pull the trigger right in her face, the corpse came to life, drinking the blood that had gone onto the floor. It was a vampire, whom protected her from her Uncle and killed the other men in the room, before moving to let Integra shoot Richard on her own. The vampire introduced himself as Alucard, and referred to her as his master.
Not only did she inherit Hellsing, but she inherited her seat on the Council of Twelve, being knighted and becoming one of the Protestant Knights. Because of this, she is addressed as 'Sir Integra' or 'Sir Hellsing', with the exception being Alucard, who calls her Master instead.
Ten years later, a mysterious group known only as 'Millennium' began to surface. They were making freak vampires -- false vampires, really -- and sending them out to create chaos. Business as usual for Integra, she sent Alucard out to dispose of them, ono ccasion going on site with the rest of her men. One particular incident was the vampire in Cheddar, whom had disguised himself as a priest and killed all of the villagers, causing them to rise again as ghouls under his command. Only one person survived the incident, a police woman by the name of Seras Victoria, and that was only because Alucard bit her and turned her into a vampire. Integra made her a member of Hellsing that night, seeing as Seras was now Alucard's fledgling, and from that point on there were two vampires living in the Hellsing manor.
On another mission, Alucard and Seras were dispatched to Badrick, Ireland, to dispose of more ghouls and Vampires, however they were intercepted by one Father Alexander Anderson, a member of the Vatican's section 13, Iscariot. Catching wind of this, Integra went to Badrick herself and managed to stop him from killing the already wounded Seras by shooting and destroying his blessed bayonettes, and showed off her upper body strength by holding him back when he attacked her. He gave up however, when she mentioned how Alucard, whom he thought he had destroyed, would be coming back to life, and promised to slaughter them all later as he disappeared.
Not long after, two vampires by the name of Luke and Jan Valentine managed to invade the manor, along with an entire army of ghouls at their disposal, whilst Integra was hosting a Round Table Conference, involving the other Council members. They were to kill the Council, including Integra, and burn the house to the ground, however because of Walter, Seras, and Alucard, their plans were foiled and the ghouls, along with the Valentine Brothers, were killed. Jan's final words, however, were 'beware the Millennium', and that was a valuable piece of information. That, along with some microchips found in the other vampires, were vital to finding out just who Millennium was, and what their purpose was. The damage done was a huge hit to her organization, all of her men, save for the ones who were not present during the attack, had been killed, and as such they had to hire on mercenaries, the Wild Geese.
Soon, however, Integra figured out that Millennium was actually a group of Nazi's, and that they were the ones responsible for making the freak vampires with chips implanted in them. These vampires could not be considered true vampires, as they were created by means unknown, assumingly with surgery. The leader of Millennium, known only as the Major, had plans to start war with England, and the rest of the world eventually. Alucard revealed that he and Walter, during World War II, had assumed they destroyed all of Millennium and the Major, and Alucard states he can't wait to be able to take the insane Major out again.
Unfortunately, the Major did bring war -- he destroyed London and the majority of it's inhabitants by using three zepplins to bomb the city and set it aflame, and by setting loose an entire army of vampire soldiers. Citizens whom were killed began to rise again from the dead as Ghouls. While this was going on, Integra was having a conference with one of her fellow Protestant Knights, Sir Penwood, and upon hearing the news of what was going on, Penwood insisted that she flee and return to the Hellsing manor, for she had duties that only she could perform. Leaving him a gun to defend himself with, as he was also on Millennium's hitlist, she left with Walter to return to the mansion.
On the way, however, Walter stopped the car and got out, instructing Integra to back the car up and find another way back home, because a strong enemy was approaching and he was not sure how long he could fend him off for. Integra reluctantly agreed and got into the car, ordering Walter to come back alive, before heading out and speeding across London to find a way home. The Nazi vampire soldiers realized she was alone and followed after her, shooting at the car and causing her to crash. She managed to kill one with her swordsmanship skills, but soon many others arrived. She claimed she would kill them all herself, but Anderson and the other members of Iscariot arrived, effectively saving her, although their true intent had been to capture her. She managed to order them to escort her back to the mansion, and they agreed.
[ Personality ] :
As a child, Integra was sheltered her whole life, being educated on how to properly run the organization when she got older. As such, she was timid, but still strong willed, enough so to command Alucard's respect when they met for the first time in the dungeons of the Hellsing manor. As she grew, however, she became an iron maiden with a spine of steel, proving her worth to the other Council members and Alucard himself.
She has a commanding aire about her, however she is still a young and inexperienced leader, and because of this she often asks Walter if she made the right decisions, especially when they regard Alucard. When the war breaks out, her resolve strengthens and whatever childish innocence she may have had left disolves as she realizes that it is her duty to kill the Major and help end the war, namely after Sir Penwood's farewell and demise.
She is also stubborn, refusing to give up even in dire situations, and in her eyes, failure is not an option. She also tends to dress in masculine clothing, hiding her more feminine side, and more often than not she is seen in a business suit; black slacks, black double breasted jacket, white high collared dress shirt, and a red ascot with a silver cross pinned onto it, and on occasion she can be seen with a dark green, larger coat draped over her shoulders. She also smokes a special brand of small cigars.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Integra is an avid fencer, so her skills with a sword are quite remarkable, and those skills, along with her superior reflexes, help her greatly in battle. Not only that, but she can wield a gun and hit every target dead on. She is also very intelligent, being able to decipher what Millennium was basically on her own, and also being able to plan which route two rogue vampires were going, and whom their next targets were, just by their patterns alone.
Since she IS a commanding person, she can sometimes force even enemies to do what she wants, as seen when she tells Iscariot that she is going home, and that it is unsafe for a woman to walk alone at night. Anderson agrees and they escort her home.
She is, however, only human, and her hand to hand combat skills are [at least I'm assuming]not the best. She is a noblewoman, after all, and was trained to fight with swords and guns, not fists. This is where Alucard and Seras come in, as they do most of the work in battle for her. Without her weapons and vampires, she is quite defenseless.
[ Other Important Facts ] :
I think I have all of that covered!
[ Sample ] :
Integra watched as London burned right before her eyes as she made her way back towards her mansion. She ignored the bickering Iscariot members behind her, instead opting to puff away at her cigar and focus on the task at hand, that being to figure out Alucard's coordinates, and begin a battle strategy. The Major had been attacking from Zepplins, three of them to be exact, and she needed to figure out not only which one he was on personally, but how to take out three large blimps at once.
A gloved hand moved to wipe a small trail of blood from her eye, and she scowled. How DARE that foolish Major, attacking her country like that. There was no doubt about it, her mind was made up, she would kill the bastard herself. Taking one last drag off of her cigar, she flicked it off to the side and stuffed her hands into her pockets, allowing the thick smoke to billow from her nose as she walked. She had no idea if she even had a mansion left; her home was the organization's headquarters, after all, and she knew for a fact that it was on the hitlist. Still, she knew Seras and her hired men were there to defend it while she was gone, but she couldn't fight off the inward sinking feeling she was getting.
"Bloody foolish," she muttered to herself, thoughts going back to Penwood and his sacrifice. How many other Protestant Knights were left? Furthermore, who was the real traitor at the Round Table? It hadn't been Penwood as she had originally thought, and she honestly couldn't pin the blame on anyone else.
Closing her eyes, her fists clenched in her pockets and her jaw tightened. "For the fallen citizens of London, for my destroyed country, for my Queen, and for my Church, we will win this battle," she vowed quietly, her steps quickening as she called out to the men and women behind her, "Hurry up! I don't have time to waste!"
