Comment on this post and I will choose seven interests from your profile and ask you to explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

clearbell's picks and my answers behind the cut

Japanese Monster Movies: If I'm tired or tensed up, I love to kick back with some chips and hot sauce and watch hoaky monster flicks. Godzilla is my all time favorite, but there are others like Gamera, etc. that are fun, too. These make me laugh, and I get a kick out of the bad lip syncing, too.

Joan Crawford: An actress I truly admire--not only for her talent, but because she came from poverty, broken homes, neglect, and emotional deprivation to rise to the top of her profession. If you want a lesson in will power, read about her life (but NOT that scathing piece of shit by Christina).

Katherine MacGregor: When I was 28, I was visiting my parents who were watching Little House. I saw this actress who took my breath away. Not only was she my physical type--she had talent, too. That started a crush which has lasted until today. Luckily for me, Ms. MacGregor is retired, and has graciously been corresponding with me.

Coffee: I've had a life long affair with coffee. I have truly been drinking it all of my days. My grandmother (who was a notorious coffee drinker), used to give it to me in a baby bottle. I was the only kid in first grade to bring coffee in their lunch thermos. I've never lost my taste for it. I think there's caffeine in my veins, not blood.

Vedanta: I actually became interested in this because of Katherine's letters. She converted to Vedanta in 1971, and it is a very important part of her life. As I began gathering information on it, I found that I'd held many of these beliefs which I'd supressed in my own faith. It was very liberating to discover that there existed such a faith which has been around for thousands of years.

Writing: I've been writing since I was about 10. As a young person, it was mostly poetry, then I graduated to plays. I don't have the discipline to write a novel, which is why I prefer plays (and drabbles).

There you have it--if you care.
