Moving (yes, again)

Here we are in September, the end of which is also the end of our stay here at Dove Cottage. It's been a pain in the butt being here, and I won't miss it at all. The new place is an apartment, which doesn't thrill me much, but it's 200 bucks a month cheaper than we've been paying and it's close to downtown, which is good for the gas tank. It's also 3 bedrooms, so when a kid or 2 come to visit, there's a place for them to stay.
In other news, I've been busier than hell with band work! This month I have no weekends off, and last month I had only 1, so this is a good time to be a bass player in our little valley. It's all fill-in work, but that's okay, seein' as how I haven't managed to find a guitar player for the new project yet, although a great player just moved here from Vancouver and is interested in doing a project with me. We'll see what comes of that.
It's very odd not to have to drive anybody to school, now that the youngest (Loren) has graduated and has not yet started college. He's got an interview in the Computer department of London Drugs this morning, and I'm praying that he gets it (1) so he can make some money and (2) so he'll be out of the house and not on the computer 24/7.
That's pretty much it, boring as my news is...ah, well, life can't be exciting all the time...we'd all die of heart attacks if that were the case!
